Rooftops Halifax
This is a recently finished piece, oil on wood 36" x 12". This painting went quite well all the way through the painting process.

Close Up
This is a close up of the buildings in the background, I know some of you are interested in texture, so this is for you:)
? Closing Stages
This is how the painting looks at the minute. Another full day on this and it may get finished. There are a number of areas which need sorting out, some scraping back to do and redrawing, some of the values need changing and then I should be able to say "it's finished."
A closer Look
View from the Studio Window 2 is a work in progress. Drawn in with burnt umber and some value added.
View from the Studio Window 2
I've put down the Market Square Huddersfield for a while and made a start on this second view from the studio window. This is a 40"x 40" oil on canvas not board as is my usual practice, so I need to take care not to overload the canvas too much.
View from the Back Window of the Studio
The view from the back window of the studio is pretty good, a high view-point of the car park and then across over the rooftops to the hills in the distance. This will be the beginnings of a painting I have in mind. However I may not limit myself to using just this drawing to work from I do have others. I hope you will follow my work in progress ::))

A View from the Studio Window
This is the view from the Exchange Mill where I have my studio. I have drawn this in thin oil paint ready to make a start 'blocking in' tomorrow. This is a canvas size 40" x 40" a change from my normal support which is board.
One View from my Studio Window
This is a small acrylic about 16 x 20 inches. This view is from what I call the back of the studio. I shall be painting another view from the studio window but it will be from the other side of the studio.
Market Square Huddersfield
I have been working on this painting quite a bit, plus doing other things. It's coming along fine but still needs a lot of work. I have put it down now for a short time and will return to it later while I make a start on another which is another version of a view from my studio window.

Barry De More Painter
Welcome to my blog I hope you enjoy the site and call back again soon as new stuff will be added continually.
About Me
- Barry De More
- I am an artist and draughtsman working in West Yorkshire. I take my subjects from the visual world around me initially producing sketches and photographs. Many pieces are finished pieces done in situ others are taken from the sketches or photographs and made into finished pieces. I would call myself an expressionist painter with a strong interest in movement and energy suggested in my work. See more of my work on Artbreak.com and on Flickr photostream
